I focus on fostering deep learning by using a blend of collaborative questions of real-world life scenarios, and problem-solving activities. I believe that learning is most effective when students actively relate and engage with the content and with each other. Therefore, I prioritize interactive methods such as questions about personal experiences in the world, random facts that have real life affects, and experiential learning.

These learning methods include modern experiences with technology.  Incorporating technology is essential to my teaching approach. In a classroom, I use tools like learning through trivia games online and websites where the factual learning materials provide access to resources and fun activities.  I also encourage students to use online discussion boards and collaborative platforms, like Google Docs, this allows students to work together in real-time. For me, technology has enabled me to provide timely feedback and support individualized learning paths and this is what I have used to create questions and scenarios from real life experiences.

I believe that assessment should be continuous, authentic, and varied. I have created and informal way for students to assess themselves to understand their individual growth and progress.  Tools like online quizzes and peer evaluations help me gather insights into student learning in real-time.  This is how I have gathered information for this site, it is a method of learning outside the classroom where a student can quiz themselves on things they may think they know without the pressure of grading scales.
